I considered myself an "expert" on breeding guppies when I was 10. When I was 12 - my father bought my sister and I a 35 gallon "kit tank" for Christmas. We turned it into the ultimate community tank (in my eye) - Sword Fish, Cat fish, Neon Tetras, Zebra Danio's - which weeds and gravel looked right .. I loved every bit of the "under sea world" that we were creating. Since then I've had almost every variety of fish and aquarium. One thing I've always found is that - a properly displayed aquarium brings life to any room it's in. It's truly a small "window to nature" that everyone is drawn to. This site was started in the summer of 2005. I decided to make it after searching for a good set of plans to make a wooden cabinet for my 130 gallon reef tank. I had no idea the amount of work involved to get it started.....My goal for this site, - is to add plans for various DIY aquarium cabinet plans - all sizes and shapes..... as well as other projects suggested and submitted by you and other fellow aquarists. Plans are drawn using computer drafting software. They include detailed 3-D drawings and pictures, suggested tools needed - a materials list as well as an optimal cut list.
